As a Maryland Lawyer, Mediator and Collaborative Law Professional, Shelly has represented Maryland divorce and family law clients since 2004. Both professionally and personally, as a person who has been divorced herself, Shelly has experience dealing with the emotional and financial complexities of separation, divorce, custody and child support.

In 2005, Shelly completed mediation training as prescribed by the Maryland Rules of Procedure and alternative dispute resolution training with the District Court of Maryland. Since then, Shelly has completed advanced family law mediation training focused on custody and marital property disputes. As an alternative to litigation, mediation provides clients with an opportunity to resolve disputes in a uniquely tailored and cost-effective way. As a family law Attorney and Mediator, Shelly M. Ingram guides her clients through many difficult conversations that often lead to creative resolution of marital property and custody disputes.

Since 2012, Shelly has offered additional collaborative services to her family law clients. No one knows the financial needs of your family and what is best for your children better than you. If your case is suited for Collaborative, Shelly will advocate for your interests and diligently work to honor your family’s commitment to keeping your disputes out of Court.

A life-long resident of Maryland, Shelly is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park and the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Shelly enjoys spending time with her family and American Bulldog, Ludwig. She is a Member of the Bar Association of Howard County, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and currently serves on the board for Howard County Collaborative Professionals (HCCP) and chair of the HCCP Communications Committee.
